Casa Armas Tapas Bar y Restaurante, The Podium

Casa Armas is an authentic Spanish Restaurant that is well known for their roast baby pig and seafood paella. The restaurant was founded by Jesus Armas in the 90's. Now Casa Armas has 5 branches in Metro Manila.
Casa Armas Restaurant, The Podium
Casa Armas has a warm, classy, rustic feel of Spanish style interior.
Casa Armas also has a mezzanine or second floor good for small events or celebrations.
Casa Armas is great for family dining because they have very comfortable long tables that can be moved around.

The restaurant is also a great venue for couples and dates.

Menu Introduction

House Specialties
One of their trademark dishes is the Cochinillo al Horno ala Castellana which is also their most expensive dish. It's a roast baby pig cooked to perfection. Some call it Pritchon for short, but technically its a wrong term since Pritchon is a totally different dish. Pritchon(Pritong lechon) is also a roast baby pig or fried suckling pig but served wrapped in pita wedges with different kinds of sauce.
Cochinillo al Horno ala Castellana Php3,995
Roast baby pig (order at least 5 hours in advance for this dish)
Casa Armas' roast baby pig's meat is so tender that they chop it not using a knife but a ceramic plate. They place the roast baby pic beside your table so its very entertaining to see them chopping it using a small plate.
Serving the Roast Baby Pig
This is the most soft and tender lechon I have ever eaten. Definitely a must try dish.

Another well known dish of Casa Armas is their Seafood Paella. Paella is a famous Spanish dish that only few restaurants here in Metro Manila can perfectly cook, and Casa Armas' does not disappoint.
Paella Marinara Php995
Seafood Paella (Rice)

Other Food
We also ordered Calamares and Gambas. I would consider this an appetizer since the serving is really small.
Calamares a la Romana Php260
Breaded squid rings, deep fried and tinge of lemon
Gambas al Ajilo Php365
Sauteed shrimps in olive oil and garlic
I don't recommend their beef slices. Although it was properly cooked and tasted fine, the dish had many fat parts which no one really eats.
Beef Slices
Also a must try is this dish with fish and clams. Not sure if this is Mejillones al Horno or Almejas al Horno or neither.
Fish and Clams
We had a free Canonigo Dessert because of the credit card promo. Canonigo is made with egg whites.
 Canonigo Dessert
One of the best roast baby pig or "pritong biik" and Paella in Metro Manila. A bit pricey but will be worth your money. Do not forget to order their roast baby pig or Pritchon in advance. At least 5 hours before but preferably a day before.
